The long awaited GPS watch from Wahoo has finally arrived in the form of the Wahoo Elemnt Rival. Wahoo aimed to radically simplify the multisport watch for seamless transition among disciplines with an intuitive operating design. It all starts with the 1.2" 64 colour display which is protected by a Gorilla© Glass Lens which is lightweight and tough, it even has an ambient light sensor which adjust brightness for optimal visibility indoors and outdoors. You can monitor your heart rate in real time without a hear rate strap thanks to the optical heart rate feature.
When it comes to the swim, bike and run the Rival is a standout with Touchless Transition that ensures the watch will switch between modes without pressing a button. When you get onto the bike leg of your triathlon your watch can connect to your Wahoo bike computer to display cumulative workout metrics from the watch, while you still retain control of the head unit itself. The Rival tracks a range of metrics without the use of an external sensor, capable of tracking speed, distance, workout time, swim lengths, pace, stroke count, stroke rate and SWOLF. When you connect to the Tickr X you will have access to all a host of advanced running dynamics so that you can fine tune your training.
The Rival is up to date with the latest technology, ensuring that you can receive text, email and phone alerts, and you can even use the Rival to control KICKR Indoor Trainers. The Rival works with all of your favourite apps such as Strava, Training Peaks, Today's Plan, Train XHALE, Google Fit, Apple Health and Relive. You can do all of this for up to 14 days in smartwatch mode and a massive 24 hours in GPS mode. Ultimately the Wahoo Element Rival is an advanced multisport GPS Watch which simplifies your training world so that you can train at your best, all the while it is integrates seamlessly with your everyday life.
